This American Day- January 1st

January 1. The new year and what a year it was. Excuse my absence yesterday, but the marriage of Michael Dees and his new wife Kristin took precedent in my day. Anyways, on this day in 1998, anti-smoking laws went into effect in the state of California. Then, 10 years later, france did the same thing. Just one thing the french are behind America in.
